Police said their investigation revealed the woman and a 63-year-old woman, also from Effort, became involved in an argument in regards to issues over a 16-year-old Effort girl’s homework. A 29-year-old Effort woman is facing two counts of harassment after police were summoned to a domestic case at 10:37 p.m.He was taken into custody and transported to the county prison in Snydersville for processing. The driver, a 23-year-old man from Effort, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of drug paraphernalia. On May 1 at 1:31 a.m., troopers on patrol noticed a 2007 Ford Focus outside a business at Gilbert Road and Long Mountain Road in Chestnuthill Township, outside normal business hours.The female admitted stealing the money, troopers said. Troopers said the store management accused a 24-year-old woman from Tobyhanna, who they declined to identify, of stealing $4,156.83 in cash. On April 26 at 3:11 p.m., troopers responded to 2245 Route 175, in Jackson Township, Monroe County, the Dollar General Store.Troopers declined to identify the suspects. Troopers said as a result a 55-year-old woman, 53-year-old man and a 18-year-old man, all from Jim Thorpe, were cited. On May 2 at 5:47 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the 100 block of Yellow Run Road in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, for a neighbor dispute.Charges of DUI and other vehicle code violations were filed.

The driver, Zameer Boodoo, 33, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, was found to be impaired and placed into custody for suspicion of DUI.

  • On April 10 at 9:39 p.m., a 1989 GMC truck was stopped along McIlhaney Road at Mills Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.
